Broadridge Expands DLR Solution to G7 Securities

Broadridge Financial Solutions has announced the global expansion of Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) solution. The expansion brings G7 securities into the DLR network. Also, it lets market participants execute international cross-border repo transactions, intraday repo activity, and collateral movements through atomic settlement.

Large Repo Volumes

DLR is already operating at institutional scale. In August 2026, the solution processed an average of $351 billion in daily repo transactions. It processed $7.4 trillion in repo transactions during the month, with thousands of transactions running through the network daily. DLR currently supports tokenized U.S. Treasury collateral for repo, intraday repo transactions, and collateral pledges. Adding G7 securities extends the spectrum of eligible collateral that firms can mobilize through the network.

Cross-Border Repo and Collateral Movements

DLR operates within existing trading and post-trade workflows. It synchronizes the movement of tokenized securities and cash through atomic settlement. It reduces settlement risk and operational friction. It also helps firms manage funding flexibility, high-quality collateral, liquidity, and capital. Now, with G7 securities included, DLR lets market participants execute cross-border repo and collateral movements. Firms can access liquidity and finance eligible securities across markets, currencies, and jurisdictions.

Collateral Mobility

The expanded DLR solution supports repo, intraday repo, and collateral activity across global markets. It provides faster and certain settlement, greater visibility into collateral positions, and reduced operational burden. It also gives participants flexibility to deploy financial resources where they are needed. As the DLR network expands, participants can access increased collateral utility and liquidity in markets and maintain institutional-grade governance and operational controls.

DLR Market Data

Aggregated DLR market data is also available to Bloomberg Terminal subscribers through Broadridge's collaboration with Kaiko. The data includes repo par value, turnover, and trade count. It gives subscribers transparency into institutional on-chain repo activity with established fixed-income market data.

What Executive Says

Horacio Barakat, Global Head of Digital Innovation at Broadridge, said tokenized financing and collateral markets are already operating as market infrastructure through DLR. He stressed the solution's existing use by institutions to move collateral, execute repos, and manage intraday liquidity. Barakat also said that bringing G7 securities into the network expands these capabilities globally. He pointed to stronger liquidity, sweetened capital efficiency, and cut operational friction as core expansion benefits.
