Broadridge Financial Solutions will extend its unified governance platform to support shareholder communications and proxy voting for eligible holders of xStocks. The tokenized equities framework was developed by Payward Services, the B2B infrastructure platform from Payward. It will bring shareholder governance features to eligible token holders and keep the benefits of tokenized securities.
Corporate Governance
Eligible supported tokenized securities holders will be able to securely access ProxyVote.com using Web3 authentication. They can review proxy materials for the underlying securities and submit their proxy voting preferences through a digital process. The experience gives eligible token holders access to the same governance tools available in traditional capital markets. Also, it maintains the accessibility and efficiency of tokenized assets.
Traditional Shareholder Rights and Tokenized Securities
Payward said the partnership moves tokenized equities closer to traditional share ownership. The company believes that owning tokenized shares should also enable eligible investors to participate in corporate governance, not just benefit from blockchain-based trading.
