Robinhood Selects OG.com as Infrastructure Partner for Prediction Markets
Robinhood Markets, Inc. and prediction market platform OG.com have announced a multi-year partnership. Under the agreement, OG.com will serve as an infrastructure and clearing provider for Robinhood’s Prediction Markets offering. The partnership will route Robinhood’s retail event contract volume through OG.com’s CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange and clearinghouse architecture.
More on the Partnership
Robinhood will use OG.com’s underlying exchange and clearing infrastructure to support its Prediction Markets offering. Robinhood Derivatives, LLC, which offers Prediction Markets on Robinhood, is a registered futures commission merchant. The companies said the agreement will become OG.com’s largest B2B prediction markets partnership by transaction volume. Robinhood will begin rolling out OG.com-backed event contracts in phases to eligible U.S. customers through its app from September 8, 2026.
OG.com’s Spin-Off
The partnership comes after Citadel Securities’ investment in Crypto.com at a $20 billion valuation. The deal includes a standalone $5 billion valuation for OG.com after its spin-off from Crypto.com. After the separation, OG.com operates as an independent company. It has dedicated capital allocation to scale its direct consumer experience and strengthen its institutional-grade, CFTC-regulated framework. The company focuses on sports, financials, economic contract markets, and margined derivatives.
Robinhood Equity Stake
Robinhood will hold initial equity stakes in Crypto.com and OG.com after OG.com’s spin-off as part of the agreement. The equity will be priced in line with Citadel Securities’ recent investment in the Crypto.com Group at a $20 billion valuation. The companies said the arrangement will align their interests as demand for CFTC-regulated event contract trading and other innovative products grows.
Prediction Markets Engine
Robinhood plans to expand the capacity of its current prediction markets offering by routing contracts through OG.com. The companies said the infrastructure will support institutional-grade liquidity, instant clearing, and a vaster event catalog. It includes contracts covering macroeconomic indicators, global sports, elections, and cultural milestones. The partnership will also toughen Robinhood’s execution layer through OG.com’s exchange infrastructure and liquidity.
What Executives Say
Kris Marszalek, Founder and CEO of Crypto.com and OG.com, said the partnership is the start of a vaster relationship between the companies. He explained that OG.com will become a highly liquid global venue for innovative derivative instruments. It will begin with prediction markets and expand into futures and perpetuals.
JB Mackenzie, VP and GM of Futures and Prediction Markets at Robinhood, said the deal strengthens Robinhood’s position in prediction markets. Also, it gives the company a direct financial interest in the partnership. He pointed to growing customer demand and said prediction markets are becoming a more meaningful way for investors to engage with events they care about.
