FOREX.com Japan to Terminate MT4 Service

FOREX.com Japan will end its MetaTrader 4 (MT4) service from October 2026 or later. The broker has informed clients about the upcoming discontinuation. The change comes after cybersecurity standards become more stringent. FOREX.com says it needs to strengthen client assets and personal information protection.

Service to End From October

Once the MT4 service ends, FOREX.com Japan clients will no longer be able to log in to MT4 or place trades through the platform. The broker has not set a specific end date beyond stating that the discontinuation is scheduled for October 2026 or later.

MT5 Becomes the Successor

FOREX.com Japan has been offering MetaTrader 5 (MT5) as the successor to MT4 since June 2026. MT5 provides stronger analytical functions and improved processing performance than MT4. Also, it gives traders access to multiple timeframes and advanced charting functions. The move lets clients continue using a MetaTrader platform and get access to these additional capabilities.

Own Trading Account

Alongside MT5, the broker also offers its own FOREX.com account. Clients using this account can trade Japanese stock CFDs, stock index CFDs, and knockout options with FX as the underlying asset. The account also includes TradingView charts and supports AI-powered performance analysis.
