Broadridge Brings Proxy Voting to Dinari’s Tokenized U.S. Equities

Broadridge and Dinari Inc. have announced an integration that will let eligible holders of Dinari’s dShares™ exercise shareholder voting rights through Broadridge’s proxy voting infrastructure. Dinari Inc. is a financial infrastructure company specialising in tokenised equities. The integration connects tokenised U.S. equities with traditional capital market governance processes. It lets eligible dShare holders vote on corporate matters with traditional shareholders.

Shareholder Voting to Tokenised Equities

Dinari structures its dShares around a custodial model. Each token shows an underlying U.S. stock or ETF held through established custody arrangements. It strives to preserve the legal and economic rights related to the underlying securities, including dividends and corporate actions. The integration extends these protections to shareholder governance. Now, eligible dShare holders may exercise their voting rights via established proxy voting processes and get relevant company disclosures.

On-Chain Governance Infrastructure

The integration builds on Broadridge’s current on-chain proxy voting capabilities. Its platform supports different tokenisation models, including custodial tokenised securities and issuer-sponsored tokens. Also, the platform will let shareholders, including dShare holders, authenticate their entitlements via digital wallets and vote on proxy ballots directly. It will bring Broadridge’s established proxy infrastructure into a native on-chain ecosystem.

What Executives Say

Doug DeSchutter, President of Broadridge’s Investor Communications Solutions business, explained that the company wants to extend reliable governance infrastructure to on-chain investors. He stressed the integration as another step towards ensuring investors in tokenised equities have access to accurate, institutional-grade governance services.

Gabriel Otte, Co-Founder and CEO of Dinari, emphasised that tokenisation should make securities accessible without taking away the rights related to ownership. He explained that Dinari built its custodial model around this principle and sees the partnership as an important step towards giving tokenised equity holders access to actual shareholder voting.
