SIX has announced the appointment of Bjørn Sibbern as its new CEO, effective January 1, 2025. He will succeed Jos Dijsselhof, who is stepping down after seven successful years with the organization to pursue a new professional opportunity in the Middle East.
Bjørn Sibbern has over 20 years of experience in the capital markets sector. He has held prominent roles in reputable organizations, including leadership positions at Nasdaq and OMX Exchanges. Additionally, he served as the CEO of ETRADE Bank Denmark.
Beyond his work at SIX, Bjørn Sibbern holds several influential roles. He joined the Board of Directors at BME in November 2024 and began serving as an advisor to Carbonfuture in September 2024. Since 2022, he has been the Chairman of CORIT Advisory, based in Denmark.
His strong academic foundation includes an Executive MBA, a diploma in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Law — all from Copenhagen Business School.
Jos Dijsselhof will remain with SIX until the end of February 2025. During this period, he will work closely with Bjørn Sibbern to ensure a seamless transition of leadership responsibilities.
