Devexperts Appoints Rainer Fuchsluger as Global Group CEO
Devexperts has appointed Rainer Fuchsluger as its new Global Group Chief Executive Officer. The appointment follows the departure of Ben Hurley, who is leaving Devexperts to pursue new opportunities. Hurley spent more than four years at the company, including two years as CEO.

Fuchsluger will expand Devexperts’ value chain in the full investment and trade lifecycle. Also, he will rev the company’s international growth and use technologies such as cloud computing and AI to toughen its product portfolio. Devexperts founder Michael Babushkin said Fuchsluger’s global financial markets knowledge and experience in scaling technology businesses will help the company build on its current strengths and pursue its international growth plans.
Who is Rainer Fuchsluger?
Fuchsluger carries more than 25 years of experience in financial software, market data, exchange technology, and critical market infrastructure. His career includes senior leadership positions at LSEG, Wolters Kluwer, SS&C Technologies, and Thomson Reuters.
At LSEG, he held a global sales council and regional commercial leadership role for its Data & Feeds business. Before that, he spent several years at Wolters Kluwer. There, he led planning and business development for Finance & Risk and RegTech. He also served as CEO and Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific.
Earlier in his career, Fuchsluger was Regional Managing Director Asia at SS&C Technologies. He also founded 8 Peaks Limited, led business development for enterprise solutions at ICE and spent 10 years in regional sales and account management roles at Thomson Reuters.
What Fuchsluger Says
Fuchsluger said his immediate priority is to spend time with Devexperts’ employees and clients before setting out his longer-term plans. He wants to understand what is already working, identify opportunities, and build on current strengths with its people and clients. Also, he stressed the quick changes in capital markets. Growing demand for trusted data and analytics, resilient infrastructure, cloud computing and AI will determine his priorities. His policy will bring Devexperts’ capabilities closer together in the investment and trade lifecycle. All while maintaining performance and resilience.
Building on AI
AI is already embedded in more than half of Devexperts’ software development pipeline. The company will build on these capabilities and pace up product development under Fuchsluger’s leadership. The priority will remain on using advanced technology to deliver greater value to clients and expand Devexperts’ presence in international markets.
