Who is Gareth Derbyshire?​

Derbyshire brings 25 years of experience in compliance and regulatory oversight across major financial institutions. He served as Head of Compliance at CMC Markets. There, he oversaw operations in the UK, Europe, Canada, and South Africa. His career also includes leadership roles at Plus500 UK and ETX Capital. There, he managed compliance and financial crime risk frameworks.

​Beyond these roles, Derbyshire worked as Senior Manager for PwC’s Financial Services Risk and Regulation practice. He supported retail, wholesale, asset management, insurance, and private banking clients. He also held compliance positions at Norwich and Peterborough Building Society and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Since 2017, he has led Executive Compliance Ltd, an APCC-registered consultancy.

Ultima Markets recently secured a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) licence in the UK. This milestone grants the broker access to a market with high regulatory standards.
