FTMO Expands Into Futures Market with the Launch of FTMO Futures

FTMO has launched FTMO Futures, a new futures trading program for traders around the world. The product brings FTMO’s current approach to payouts and trader-focused rules into the futures market. FTMO Futures offers two plans, Growth and Pro. Both plans give traders a path to a funded account within FTMO’s simulated trading environment.

Futures Trading Plans

The new program gives traders two plans to choose from, based on their trading experience and preferences:

Growth Plan

The Growth plan is the entry point for traders. It offers FTMO’s most affordable futures pricing, an industry-familiar set of rules, and no daily loss limit during the evaluation. The plan targets traders who want to trade futures within a structure they already recognise while accessing the FTMO brand.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan targets experienced traders. It offers a profit-target-to-drawdown ratio as low as 1:1 and higher potential payouts. It requires tighter daily risk management. Together, the two plans give traders different ways to approach the FTMO Futures program.

Trading Flexibility

FTMO Futures uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown on Growth and Pro plans. The drawdown permanently locks at the starting balance. It means normal intraday price movements do not automatically push traders out of their accounts. Once traders make progress, that progress remains protected under the drawdown mechanism. The Pro plan also lets traders request up to 100% of their available profit in each payout cycle, subject to a payout cap. The cap ranges from $5,000 to $8,000 depending on the account size. FTMO uses a 90/10 payout ratio in favour of the trader for every payout.

Trading Restrictions

FTMO Futures also removes several costs and restrictions that traders may encounter with other futures programs. There are no activation fees after passing the evaluation. The account becomes sim-funded without an additional charge at the finish line. The consistency rule also applies only during the evaluation. Once funded, traders no longer have to follow it. The end-of-day drawdown system also fixes on locking in progress instead of reacting to every intraday move. Traders can access FTMO Futures through Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView.

What FTMO Says

According to FTMO Co-Founder and CEO Otakar Šuffner, traders were asking the company to bring its experience into futures trading. He explained that FTMO wanted to create something different from current products rather than replicate what was available. The company stressed on giving futures traders room to trade, payouts that mirror their profits, and rules they can rely on. Šuffner also said that FTMO Futures follows the same principles that have shaped the company's existing products, including fair opportunities for skilled traders and a focus on reliable payouts.

About FTMO

FTMO is a proprietary trading firm. It provides an opportunity to trade using the firm's capital in exchange for a share of the profits. FTMO evaluates traders through a two-step process consisting of the FTMO Challenge and the Verification phase. Successful traders get to funded accounts. There, they can trade with capital from $10,000 to $200,000. They maintain profit splits of 80% to 90% depending on performance.

Wrapping Up

With FTMO Futures, the company has expanded into the futures market with two plans. The program fuses different trading structures, an end-of-day trailing drawdown, multiple platform options, and payout terms to give traders flexibility.
