Christine Romar is a seasoned financial executive bringing over 25 years of experience in structured products, derivatives, and retail investment solutions.
About Christine Romar’s Appointment
Christine Romar will serve as the CEO of CMC Markets Germany GmbH. She will also become the third member of the company’s European management team, working alongside Craig Inglis, Chief Commercial Officer for Europe, and Harald Alberts, Chief Operating Officer for Europe.
Romar will oversee the company’s European strategy in her new role. She will focus on regulatory development, client engagement, and multi-asset product growth. She is expected to work closely with German regulators, including the Bundesbank and BaFin to support CMC’s regulatory footprint across the EU.
Who is Christine Romar?
Romar most recently served as Head of EMEA Public Listed Products Sales & Distribution at Citi. There, she led structured product distribution across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Before that, she spent nearly six years at Citi as Head of Retail Structured Products for Germany and Austria. Earlier, she was a Director at Citi.
Her experience also includes two terms at BNP Paribas. She led the Privalto division for Germany and Austria. Prior to that, she was responsible for retail products in the same region. Romar served as Head of Advisory for Germany and Austria and as Managing Director of Vontobel Financial Products GmbH at Bank Vontobel.
