Webull HK Introduces Vega AI and Sets Sights on South Korean Market
- The trading service currently supports equities from the US, Hong Kong, China, and Japan.
- The business had earlier rolled out Vega Analyst, an AI-driven stock analysis feature.
Webull Securities Limited, the Hong Kong-based arm of Webull Corporation, has unveiled an artificial intelligence-driven investment assistant named Vega AI, while also revealing intentions to offer South Korean equity trading moving forward.
The brokerage currently provides entry to US and Hong Kong equities, Chinese A-shares, and Japanese securities. Furthermore, enabling Canadian stock trading is included in Webull HK's upcoming plans.
Webull had earlier deployed Vega Analyst, a tool designed for AI-driven equity research.
Webull HK Unveils Vega AI Feature
Based on statements from the firm, Vega AI integrates market evaluation, corporate research, customized strategy assistance, and trade submission. The system is intended to assist with analysis and decision-making instead of executing investment choices on behalf of clients.
Wang Haichen, the Chief Executive Officer of Webull HK, noted that the core benefit of AI comes from its capacity to “connect professional investment research, global market opportunities and the trading experience effectively.”
Vega AI centers on three main functions: pinpointing prospective investment prospects, explaining company earnings reports, and assisting with tailored trading plans. Additionally, it offers daily equity roundups along with voice-command functionality for Hong Kong clients.
Traders are able to examine AI-produced analysis and strategy recommendations prior to submitting orders. Webull HK emphasized that every investment choice and execution instruction stays strictly in the user's hands.
Edmond Cheung, who serves as Head of Product and Innovation at Webull HK, stated that AI can assist traders to “establish context, interpret data and evaluate their choices.” Even so, he noted that “AI cannot—and should not—replace an investor's own assessment of risk.”
AI Initiatives Broaden Across Trading Portals
Webull HK highlighted that customer interactions are encrypted and that the artificial intelligence infrastructure runs independently from its primary account architecture. Vega AI refrains from executing orders autonomously.
Moving forward, the brokerage intends to broaden AI assistance to cover extra offerings, such as US options, while creating an open Model Context Protocol (MCP) framework designed to link AI functionality, quantitative models, and market data resources. This strategy aligns with a broader trend among brokerage firms to integrate artificial intelligence networks into trading platforms.
