Interactive Brokers Launches Cryptocurrency Staking
Interactive Brokers Group Inc (NASDAQ: IBKR) has launched cryptocurrency staking for eligible clients. The service lets clients earn rewards on supported digital assets while managing their crypto alongside stocks, options, futures, and other financial instruments on the same platform. The company has partnered with zerohash to provide staking services.
Ethereum Staking
Eligible Interactive Brokers LLC clients can stake Ethereum through the Staking Dashboard in the IBKR Client Portal. They can submit staking and unstaking requests and monitor pending activity through the dashboard. When clients earn rewards, Interactive Brokers credits them as additional staked cryptocurrency. These rewards can compound, and the position remains staked.
Digital Assets
Interactive Brokers supports trading in 20 digital assets. These include Aave, Aptos, Avalanche, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Canton, Cardano, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Lido DAO, Litecoin, Monad, NEAR Protocol, Pax Gold, Plasma, Ripple, Solana, Sui and Uniswap.
Stablecoin Funding and Wallet Transfers
The platform also supports stablecoin funding. Clients can fund their accounts and transfer assets to external destinations, including personal cryptocurrency wallets, using USDC, RLUSD and PYUSD. Also, eligible clients can send and receive supported digital assets through custodial and non-custodial wallets both.
Crypto Trading
Interactive Brokers lets clients manage cryptocurrency with a vaster financial instrument range. These include stocks, options, futures, bonds, funds, and prediction markets. Clients can access these markets via the same platform without using separate apps or switching between platforms.
