HKEX appoints Chief Sustainability Officer Paul Chow as the first appointee in the role. The aim of this new role is to align the companyās operations with sustainability guidelines. It will be the CSOās responsibility to develop new strategies that ensure that the company reaches its goals and fulfils its vision while complying fully with ESG requirements.Ā
Mr Chow will have complete oversight over the companyās sustainability initiatives which will include the Core Climate carbon marketplace. Further, he will continue in his earlier responsibilities as the General Counsel of the company who is accountable for legal and secretarial duties.
Mr. Jeffrey Ng has been appointed as the Group Communications Officer. He has been serving the role in an interim capacity since 1st January, 2024. He has been responsible for maintaining communications including media and government relations, strategic communications, internal and digital communications, brand, as well as event management. The primary vision for the role includes building an international reputation for the company and strengthening its international reach.
Both Paul Chow and Jeffrey Ng will be serving under the CEO Bonnie Y Chan.
