SIX Swiss Exchange Lists Two New Active Equity ETFs from AllianceBernstein

SIX Swiss Exchange has welcomed the listing of two actively managed equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from AllianceBernstein (AB). The new listings mark another step in AB's expansion of its Active UCITS ETF platform in Europe.

The two newly listed ETFs are:

  1. AB Global Research Advanced Equity Portfolio UCITS ETF
  2. AB Global Disruptors Portfolio UCITS ETF

These additions follow the launch of three fixed-income UCITS ETFs by AllianceBernstein on the Swiss stock exchange in May.

Expanding Beyond Fixed Income

AllianceBernstein's earlier ETF offerings focused on fixed income exposure. It gives investors access to global, US dollar, and euro corporate bond markets through the firm's systematic investment approach and research capabilities.

The newly listed equity ETFs broaden that offering. They provide access to global equity opportunities through AB's active investment strategy. It combines fundamental analysis, quantitative techniques, and thematic investing.

More Choice for Investors

The latest listings further strengthen SIX Swiss Exchange's ETF marketplace by expanding the range of available equity and fixed income products for both Swiss and international investors. At present, the Swiss stock exchange hosts more than 2,200 ETFs from 37 ETF issuers.

About ETF Trading Activity

The ETF segment at SIX Swiss Exchange recorded strong growth during the first five months of the year. During this period, on-book trading turnover reached CHF 42.1 million, supported by 1.9 million trades. Compared with the same period last year, trading turnover increased by 43.8%. The number of transactions rose by 40.6%.

Executive Insights

Peter Leffler, Head of Switzerland Retail at AllianceBernstein, said the expanded ETF range reflects the firm's efforts to strengthen its active ETF platform. He indicated that Swiss investors now have more ways to access the firm's investment strategies. He also noted that AllianceBernstein plans to continue developing its ETF capabilities by introducing products that combine global investment expertise with local market needs.

Danielle Reischuk, Senior ETFs & ETPs Sales Manager at SIX Swiss Exchange, explained that AllianceBernstein has quickly expanded its presence on the exchange after its recent debut as an ETF issuer. She said the additional listings improve investor access to actively managed and systematic strategies across both equities and fixed income. According to her, the move also reinforces SIX Swiss Exchange's position as one of Europe's most diverse and active ETF marketplaces.
