Plus500 Stock Rises After Hedge Capital Markets Acquisition

Plus500 Ltd has conditionally agreed to acquire Hedge Capital Markets Inc. It’s a US broker-dealer registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). The acquisition is Plus500’s entry into the SEC-regulated segment of the US market. The company expects the deal to support its US multi-asset trading platform launch in Q1 2027.

More on Acquisition

The acquisition will expand Plus500’s US product spectrum to include stocks, options, ETFs, and other exchange-listed securities. These products will complement its current futures and prediction markets offerings. Plus500 will bring these products together in one application, which it calls a “super-app.” The company expects to launch the platform in Q1 of 2027.

Plus500 will fund the acquisition entirely through its current cash resources. These resources stood at more than $860 million as of June 30, 2026. The transaction stays subject to customary closing conditions, including FINRA approval under Rule 1017.

New York Hub

Plus500 has established a new hub in New York to support its US expansion with its existing Chicago operations. The company will reinforce the New York team with personnel from Hedge and bring securities expertise and an established regulatory presence. Plus500 presently operates a US business regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
