Interactive Brokers Brings New Features to Enhance Advisor Portal
Interactive Brokers (IB) has upgraded its tools for financial professionals. The latest updates to the Advisor Portal simplify reporting and improve client support options.
What’s New?
New Transaction History Page
The portal has a Transaction History page under the Performance and Reporting section. It lets advisors view all transactions in one place. Users no longer need to run an activity statement to access this data. The new view is more detailed than the earlier version.
Temporary Password Tool for Advisors
Interactive Brokers permits US Professional registered advisors to issue temporary passwords to certain clients. Advisors can access this feature from the Support page of the Advisor Portal. This tool assists with password recovery only. It doesn’t allow any changes to clients’ security devices.
Access Rights for Temporary Password Tool
Only the primary master user has default access to the Client Security function. Administrators must assign rights through the User Configuration section to enable access for other users. The setting is on the Client Management Access page.
Client Qualification Requirements
Clients must have a verified mobile number or be enrolled in IB Key to use the password tool. On failing to meet these criteria, they must contact IBKR support directly for assistance.
