IBKR Desktop Update: Multi-Monitor Support, New Screeners, and More
Interactive Brokers has launched IBKR Desktop version 0.13 (beta) with several improvements. The biggest update is multi-monitor support, allowing traders to use multiple screens for better workflow.
Multi-Monitor Support
Users can now detach and move layout screens across multiple monitors.
Steps to use:
- Go to Layouts
- Right-click on a layout and select Detach Layout
- Drag the layout to another monitor
- To reattach, click X in the detached screen and select Attach Layout
Tactical Layouts Enhancements
Compact List and Default Option Trader Layout are now available.
Steps to add Compact List:
- Go to Layouts
- Click the + button
- Select Compact List from the right-hand side
Predefined MultiSort Screeners
Users can now add predefined MultiSort Screeners to their Screener list.
Steps to access:
- Navigate to Screeners
- Open Popular Screeners section
Contract Search Upgrade
A new search tool helps traders find products based on selected filters.

- Clickable results open the Quote Window
- Traders can buy, sell, or add products to a watchlist
Alerts & Notifications Update
Users can now enable sounds for price alerts and trade notifications for better tracking.
Push Notification Feature
IBKR Desktop now allows users to receive push notifications for updates.
STK SMART Orders with Overnight Support
IBKR has added Overnight and Overnight + Next Day order options.
Overnight Orders:
- Submitted at 8 PM ET
- Active until 3:50 AM ET
Overnight + Next Day Orders:
- Active 8 PM – 3:50 AM ET (day submitted)
- Resumes 9:30 AM – 4 PM (next day)
Steps to use:
- Go to Order Entry Panel
- Click Time in Force
- Select Overnight or Overnight + Next Day
