Interactive Brokers Updates TWS Platform with Themes
Interactive Brokers has introduced a new feature, “Themes,” in its latest TWS (beta) build. It will help traders explore investment opportunities linked to specific market themes.
What Is the Themes Feature?
“Themes” lets users discover companies related to a particular theme. It provides detailed information related to the selected theme. Users can also explore direct connections between themes and the companies involved.
How to Access Themes on TWS
To use the Themes feature:
- Method 1: Right-click the asset of interest and click the Fundamentals Explorer icon.
- Method 2: Click the New Window icon on the top left of the Mosaic layout, then search and select Fundamentals Explorer.
Inside the Fundamentals Explorer, go to the Themes tab. Click on any theme and then choose Theme Overview to see relevant details and linked instruments.
Other TWS Enhancements
Interactive Brokers has also added a new pricing column called the “30 Day Average Close Price.” It shows the average closing price of the selected asset over the past 30 days.
Additionally, the platform introduced Forecast and Event Contracts by ForecastEx, LLC in build 10.36. These contracts are listed on exchanges and tied to the outcome of specific events. They are short-term instruments valid for one trading day and apply to select CME Futures.
