IG Group Appoints Gavin Chia as CEO of IG Singapore & Emerging Markets
IG Group has announced the appointment of Gavin Chia as Chief Executive Officer of IG Singapore & Emerging Markets. It is effective from 1 September 2025, subject to regulatory approval. The company expects his leadership to accelerate growth in Singapore and expand its presence across Asian markets.

Who is Gavin Chia?
Since June 2023, Gavin has been the CEO of Moomoo Singapore. There, he also took on the role of Acting COO. He focused on operational efficiency and improving cross-departmental coordination. Before this, he served as Managing Director and was a founding employee of Futu Singapore. He sat on the boards of Futu Holdings, Futu Singapore, and Moomoo Singapore.
Also, Gavin held senior positions across leading financial institutions in Asia. At UOB Kay Hian, he was Head of Corporate Development (APAC). He was Head of Business Development (APAC) at Haitong International Securities. At PhillipCapital, he managed USD 1.9 billion in assets under custody across eight countries and SGD 1 billion in assets under management in Singapore. Earlier, he trained dealers at CIMB, advised high-net-worth clients at CMC Markets Singapore, managed a 10-dealer desk at Kim Eng Securities, and began his career as a Personal Financial Manager at DBS Bank.
