Inflation in the United States slowed for the fourth month in October, recording 7.7%.

On an annual basis, inflation in America slowed down to 7.7% in October, against expectations of a slowdown to 8% from the 8.2% levels recorded in September.

Moving on to monthly inflation, it settled at 0.4%, against expectations of a rise to 0.6%.

The energy index rose by 17.6% due to gasoline, which rose by 17.5%, and electricity, which rose by 14.1%. There was also a slowdown in the price of food, which increased by 10.9%, and the price of used cars and trucks, which increased by 2%. On the other hand, housing prices rose by 6.9%.

So far, the numbers continue to point to strong inflationary pressures. A significant increase in prices, especially in the services sector, while commodity prices have benefited from some improvements in supply chains.
